Services

Individual Therapy

I work with adults and young adults ages 18+ in individual psychotherapy. I strive to assist you in deepening self-awareness and relationships with yourself and others.

My goal is to help you feel healthier and find a renewed sense of well-being. I will join you in exploring the many parts of your life and listen carefully to help you make appropriate changes.

My therapeutic style is open, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Curiosity and empathy guide my approach to helping you make realistic changes in your life and relationships.

I have limited virtual teletherapy and in-person availability in my Union Square office.

What to Expect

Our first few sessions together will be a chance for us to get to know each other and decide if we’re the right fit.

Finding a therapist who you feel safe and comfortable with is one of the most important aspects of the therapy process.

“Therapy is an investment in yourself and your well-being.”

Dr. Jaci Lopez Witmer, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist

It typically takes 2-3 sessions to get a sense of how I work and how you feel with me. These initial sessions also allow me to determine if your needs align with my specialties and if I believe that I will be the right therapist to help you.

Sessions are 45 minutes long for individuals. I typically work with people either once or twice weekly. I prefer to set a weekly appointment time. However, if you are unable to schedule at the same weekly time due to scheduling conflicts or an irregular work schedule I will do my best to work with you.

The amount of time that you are in therapy varies from person to person. Therapy is an investment in yourself and your well-being and a process that requires commitment and hard work.

While you may feel some relief and see results immediately, it generally takes some time and patience before noticing more long-lasting results.

Often my patients meet with me regularly for a number of years. However, some individuals come in looking to work through a specific concern or symptom, and this might require a shorter course of treatment.

Specialties

Fees & Insurance

My fee is $330 per session. I am an out-of-network provider, meaning fees are collected after each session.

Following each session, I submit your out-of-network claims electronically on your behalf.

Your insurance company will send you directly any reimbursement that your policy may allow. I strongly urge you to call your insurance provider to determine your level of coverage (amount or percentage) in advance. It is my experience that most PPO and POS plans that provide out-of-network mental health coverage reimburse for 50 to 80% of the cost of sessions, usually after hitting a deductible.

Please note that HMO, Tricare, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage do not reimburse for out-of-network mental health costs.

Cancellation Policy:

Canceled initial evaluation and individual therapy sessions without at least 24 hours notice will result in a full session fee.
